Printing of Films

Off-line potisk fólií

We are able to print the films produced by our company using the flexographic printing method in two different ways – in-line printing or off-line printing.

The flexographic printing belongs to the group of “relief” printing in which the colour is transmitted with a block, which is glued onto the printing roller and transmits the colour by pressing it onto the printed material.

When the in-line method is used, the printing is a part of the film production line (both the blow moulding and printing of the film take place in one operation, on one line), and by using this technology only simple prints, featuring three colours at the most and not demanding in terms of accuracy of register, can be created.

High-quality printing can be reached with off-line printing. This is an independent printing operation where the printing is not a part of the blow line. Off-line printing is performed on special printing machines with a maximum printing speed of 400 m/minute. Thanks to the high technical parameters of these technologies we are able to achieve very high accuracy of register and true reproduction of graphic materials and edited copies provided by the client.

All the printing machines at GRANITOL are connected to the exit air incineration plant, which uses a state-of-the-art method to dispose of the spirit inks used in printing.

The technical preparation of the print is performed on the basis of documents provided by the client, or we offer the possibility of using a complete printing service at the press office.

Basic types of printing carried out at GRANITOL

OFF-LINE PRINT

1. LINE BLOCK - This is sheet printing, with 8 colours at the most, and each colour is printed separately.

2. AUTOTYPE - This is the printing of 4 CMYK process colours (yellow, red, blue, and black), where by printing the raster points "one into the other" multicolour printing is created. This technology makes demanding prints, including the transmission of colour photography, possible.

3. COMBINED PRINT - This is a combination of autotype and line block.

IN-LINE PRINT

This is a kind of "line block" print. The print is a part of the film production line. Using this technology simple prints, featuring three colours at the most not demanding in terms of accuracy of register, can be created.
